Sorry, didn't have time to fully explain. I've already tried minion masters, sabway, discord team, SS team, a bunch of defy pain wammos with Prot and Healing Monks (humans). I've tried barrage rangers, I've tried it all. Are there any special builds with strategies that I could use?

You must have horrible MM builds. More then one SS is just bad. Defy pain warriors? were these heroes running the defy pain builds? cuz thats even worse since heroes don't tank. Barrage is just bad. You have tried it all. All the bad builds obviously. As other have said you are just doing it wrong. Post the MM builds you are using.

Easiest way is to just stand at the top of the stairs and have the minions tank on the stairs.

Yes, flag all your guys on the stairs where they first appear (the northern set), and attack those guys only. Ignore the others. When enemies stop spawning there, then move to the eastern batch, same deal, then the southern batch, same deal. Always works well for me.

I just did this one so it's fresh in my mind and near as I can tell you may be letting yourself get overwhelmed, if you sit in the bottom of the main area with the dwarves you'll have foes coming in from all sides.

I just sat on the stairs taking down the groups coming from the top and funneling the ones on the bottom up on the stairs. You don't fail the quest if any dwarves die so don't worry about them, they're surprisingly tough anyways.

I absolutely burned through it however as an AP/MoP necro, almost all the dwarves are physicals so MoP/Barbs is complete murder there (especially if you get them to clump up on the stairs).

Other than that all I can say is don't do it in HM
